Best Cheap Food in Krakow

GOGO BURGER is the best burger in the surprisingly burger centric city that is Krakow, Poland. Not to mention, it is one of the best cheap spots in Krakow according to Trip Advisor. GOGO BURGER is located only a half mile from Krakow’s Main Square, in an unassuming hole-in-the-wall space. Once inside, there is only one small table, making it obvious food is mostly served take-out, hence the name “GOGO.” However, where GOGO BURGER sets itself apart from other burger joints is through a simple solution to a huge burger problem, messy burgers.

Just imagine, a perfectly juicy burger but two bites in it starts falling apart on you, leaving sauce on your hands and burger in your lap. We’ve all dealt with this. That is why GOGO BURGER gives you a pair of rubber gloves along with every burger. I was skeptical of the impact this would have on my burger eating experience at first but (and this is going to sound silly) the gloves empowered me to really get into the burger without fear of messiness, making the entire burger-eating process more seamless than ever. However, rubber gloves are only as good as the burger that they hold. With that in mind, lets take a look at their menu:

Notice that most of the burgers are between 15 and 20 Zloty’s plus another 6 or 7 for fries or onion rings. That is amazingly cheap, converted to U.S Dollars that is $4.00, $5.30, $1.50, and $1.80 respectively. Meaning an entire meal would cost you $7.10 at the high end!

GOGO BURGER Recommendations:

I went with the classic bacon cheese burger. I mentioned at the very beginning that Krakow is a surprisingly good burger city. I wish I had an explanation for this but it seems the burger has taken over Krakow. There seems to be a different burger joint on every corner. Yet, after trying multiple options, GOGO BURGER’s bacon cheese burger was easily the juiciest and best experience I had. The meat was perfectly red in the middle without bleeding and the sauce they used was just tangy enough to give a slight kick each bite.

To add to the experience, the fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, albeit a little lacking in salt (fortunately a salt shaker at the counter can solve that problem almost instantly). All in all, GOGO BURGER was one of the best burger experience’s I have had, regardless of country! Definitely a worthwhile stop when traveling in Krakow.
